    Very Good family-owned Mexican restaurant. Big portions, good chips, good salsa, and fantastic family running this beautiful and casual gem. In Manhattan Beach? La Penita is 100% locals-approved.

    Excellent dinner!! Prices are very reasonable and we always find a table. Their Orange Bang tastes like "orange Julious" remember that place??? Love #1 taco, enchilada and beans. Hubby had Jr Deluxe burrito and it all came to $20... can't beat that!

    Maybe new management? Doesn't matter, always good and super fresh.

    The chicken tacos are the go to. Guac is on point and chips are big and round. Salsa has a bite in the right way.

    Here is my thought. Hit the beach. Soak in the sun. Now, you need a beer and tacos? Hit La Pen. Done. Go home happy!!

    Service is good and parking is tough, but hey you found it for the beach right?

    A local spot if there ever was one. Bueno!

    omg... i must have driven by this place for at least 15 years and finally went in for breakfast.... it was good... machaca and eggs super tasty.. and the staff are super friendly.... going back soon to try other items!!
